About the Talk
Columbia Global Centers | Istanbul, in partnership with Istanbul University School of Medicine, Department of Public Health, will host Dr. Yanis Ben Amor, Executive Director, and Dr. Ozge Karadag Caman, Senior Staff Associate at the Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) at Columbia University. Dr. Ben Amor will talk about technologies for global health, and how progress in technology and mobile health can be used in global health emergencies, such as tuberculosis and Ebola. Dr. Karadag Caman will speak on the role of technology in public health promotion and sustainable development. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Selma Karabey, Professor of Public Health at Istanbul University School of Medicine. Please note that the panel will be in English with no translation into Turkish; however questions may be asked in Turkish during the Q&A session.
